Research work or entrepreneurship by researchers

(Article 27 ter, paragraph 9 bis, Legislative Decree No. 286/98 and subsequent amendments)

1. Researchers seeking to stay in Italy for job research or entrepreneurship purposes are eligible for this residence permit. The application must include the following:
2. Completed and signed application by the applicant (Forms 1 and 2).
3. Photocopy of the entire passport or another equivalent document (see table No. 4).
4. Documentation attesting to the completion of the research activity issued by the research institute.
5. Photocopy of documents confirming the availability of adequate financial resources for the duration of the residence permit.
6. Photocopy of health insurance valid in the national territory, covering the duration of the residence permit, for illness and/or accidents and healthcare assistance in Italy.
7. Certification of registration with the employment centre (formerly registration with job placement lists).
